Book Week
Book Week was a vibrant success. Throughout the week, we explored the deeper meanings behind the IPC goals, with each teacher bringing them to life through a chosen book. Students experienced a variety of stories and perspectives, enriching their understanding and enjoyment of reading.
Each day, students and teachers dressed up in outfits connected to the themes of the books, creating a lively and connected atmosphere across the school. During the week, a visiting author read a story to the students, building excitement that carried through to Friday’s exhibition, where they took part in a range of activities showcasing their learning. They “fed” Bruce Bogtrotter from Matilda, contributed leaves of kindness to The Giving Tree, collaborated to make Stone Soup, and created their own Tiger Who Came to Tea.
